Shia ulema Council

KARACHI: Shia Ulema Council announced to end their 39 hours long ‘sit-in’ against sectarian killings at the Numaish Chowrangi after successful negotiation with Sindh Governor Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad on Sunday mid-night here, Geo News reported

This is the Status update by Sabah Hassan, MWM office bearer.

The ‘dharna’ against ongoing Shia Genocide concluded after Fajr on 16th December 2012 after demands had been accepted by the state representatives.

For the record, Sen. Faisal Raza Abidi, Ms. Shehla Raza (Deputy Speaker, Sindh Assembly), both of PPP, MNA Haider Abbas Rizvi, Sen. Allama Abbas Kumaili (who lives at a walking distance from Numaish), Allama Aun Naqvi, all three of MQM, and Mr. Firdous Shamim Naqvi (member CEC of PTI) – all six of them Karachiite Shias – were unable to participate in the dharna that spanned over 40 hours. On the other hand, Maulana Syed Hasan Zafar Naqvi (Central Spokesman, MWM) and Maulana Syed Ali Murtaza Zaidi were able to reach it from Multan and Lahore respectively, and address the protesting men, women and children.

According to tweets/Facebook statuses by persons posing as Shia, the dharna was by Iranian agents, who are trying to oppose the efforts at ‘unity’ (with terrorists) by PPP and MQM. I, for one, stand by those thousands of Iranian agent men, women and children who were idiotic enough to stand in the cold for 40 hours, and against these flag-bearers of ‘unity’ who were absent from this protest.

First of all we would like to salute the thousands of Shia, Sunni and “Haq Parast” who spent 40 hours in the open to demonstrated their Hussainiat. It is indeed a very difficult task to organize, logistics, food, water and other services. Clearly this name calling in the social media indicates poor communication of objectives by the organizers of the Dharna. Some activists clearly thought this was a Dharna to see Malik Ishaq hanging in Numaish Square and for Numaish Square to become Tahrir Square.

What we say is very simple. Let us build on our unity and stop with the name calling. If the current organizers of the protest did a poor job of managing expectations (in someone’s opinion), they should come forward and present constructive alternatives. There should be comprehensive engagement on issues, strategy and tactics. What we should never have is divisions within Hussaini forces. We need to build our Hussaini forces to include “Haq parast” of all faiths.

The Yazid of our time is manifested in the Takfiri Deobanis Millitents, but we should not forget all the powers the stand behind them, enable them, logistically, financially and ideologically. The enemies are formidable and the only path to victory is complete unity. The promises made by the Government should be monitored carefully. Let us organize more next time.

“Witnessed the Hussaini spirit at Numaish.. and the strength is increasing MASHALLAH.. the azadari, majalis, khulus… hats off to all the momineen present there… May ALLAH keep them in HIS hifz o aman..n may the purpose be fulfild.. ameen..labbaik ya Hussain..a.s” – @Tazeen Zehra

“The legacy of Martin Luther King Jr taught us a great deal about peaceful protest . Shias in Karachi have been protesting peacefully since yesterday to end the oppression of a people. Tens of thousands of Shias have been killed in target killings and bomb attacks by extremists. Since the news agencies have refused to cover this protest, it is imperative that we raise our voice for the injustice all the citizens of Pakistan have endured at the hands of Taliban and other extremist groups through out the years. To me what has been quietly going on in Pakistan with minority groups is nothing short of ethnic cleansing.Folks there is a Holocaust taking place right in front of our eyes. The question is are we going to wait for the number to reach six million before we take notice?” – Courtesy Sahar Naqvi

“Syed Ali Murtaza Zaidi’s message and the majlis told us to remain united, organized and to not let our faith decrease. We do not need to be afraid, and we must not let our Khulus go down. We must not let our numbers decrease. Let us all come together to serve our Deen and let us make sure we do it with complete Khulus!” – Tazeen Zehra

* The strength of Momineen is increasing with time as the Sit-in enters the second night of their peaceful protest. The number of Momineen is much more than it was during the day. Families are coming in prepared to spend the WHOLE NIGHT now.

* There is no label of Sunnis or Shias on the people at the Sit-in, there are united Muslims pouring in without regard to sects, gender etc. THEY ARE ALL HOLDING BANNERS AND PLACARDS OF UNITED MUSLIMS.

* The SADDEST bit is there is no worthy news coverage still on any of our News Channels in the 12:00 AM News. Although the Final of the Kabaddi World Cup has made it to the News. =(

Spread the word and raise the Nations Morale! Prayers with Our Brave Hussaini Soldiers!

Oh, so basically you are trying to say that Shia are killed because they disrespect the Sahaba and this killing will stop once the Shia stop abusing the Sahaba. Hmm, will you enlighten me why are hundreds of Sunni Muslims killed – e.g. Data Darbar, Rehman Baba, Pakpattan shrine – did these Sunni Muslims abused the Sahaba too? Stop being shameless.
