4 June 2012: Peaceful protest against Shia genocide at the call of Sardar Sadat Hazara – by Ali Muntaziri

On Monday 4 June 2012, there will be a peaceful protest sit-in against Shia Genocide at the Governor House, Quetta called by Hazara tribal leader Sardar Sadat.

Sardar Sadat Hazara was shocked by the news of Sirki Road incident (in which 5 Shia Muslims, most of them non-Hazara were killed by Taliban-ASWJ terrorists); he immediately decided to catch up with PM Gilani to register his protest. As we hear, Sardar wept a lot on his way to the Governor House. In the meeting, PM Gilani put the entire blame of incessant Shia genocide on Governor’s, CM’s and army’s shoulders. CM Raisani came to Governor House quite late and then left quickly upon sight of Sardar Sadat.

Annoyed by the dismal response of CM Raisani, Sardar Sadat left the Governor House in disgust and arrived at the Qandhari Imambargah to make a speech besides the bodies of today’s martyrs. There, he made the call for a sit-in against the Balochistan govt and was promptly supported by MWM, Hazara Jirga, Shias of other ethnic groups and all others EXCEPT HDP (notorious for its links with the establishment).

PM Gilani too wanted to make a visit to Nachari Imambargah, Alamdar Road for paying condolences, but was barred by the Provincial government and the army for security reasons.

Can you please elaborate why HDP is mentioned and highlighted in the end in blog, Let me explain that, HDP is neither a religious based community group nor it have any links with global shia establishment. HDP is Pakistan based political organization that makes political moves according to tribal demography in Balochistan. I have not seen yet PPP,MQM etc involving itself in shia based demo’s in Karachi or Lahore, therefore it is encouraged to please not involve HDP in religious based movements. I hope that ethics is maintained in your blogs about blaming any political party for links with agencies etc.

HDP is like any other political organizations in Pakistan and Balochistan, like PPP-PML(n), PMAP, MQM, ANP, PTI, BNP, etc. If you say, that all other parties have links with establishment, then, yes HDP also follows those links, if you deny the links of all other political parties with establishment, then, YES, HDP also denies such links.
In the end, we hope that HDP’s will not be mentioned in religious blogs and will also not be expected to participate in the religious based campaigns, HDP believes in Balochistan’s and Pakistan’s tribal harmony and respect and HDP neither believes nor follows religious campaign.
