Altaf Hussain continues to talk a principled stand against Shia Genocide

There is finally a Pakistani politician that seems to be taking a principled stand against the genocide of Shia in Pakistan. We commend the recent statement by the MQM chief and urge him to make serious policy demands to reverse the growth of religious extremism and takfirism in Pakistan.

Telephonic conversation with renowned zakira Khanum Tayyaba Bukhari
Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that he would continue to preach Husaniyat (truth)and raise the voice against Yazidiyat (evil) till his last breath. He said this while talking to the chairperson of International Bukhari Relief Foundation Khanum Tayyaba Bukhari on the telephone. She praised Mr Hussain on behalf of her foundation and herself on his courageous stand.
Talking to Mr Hussain Khanum Tayyaba said that the people belonging to the Shia community would always remain indebted to him for adopting a bold stance on the killing of the Shia people in Pakistan. She said that the bringing together of the followers of different schools of thought on one platform by the MQM was a remarkable achievement.
Khanum Tayyaba said that the truth in the voice of Mr Hussain touches the hearts of the people and the love, respect and admiration which the people belonging to the Jafria community have for Mr Hussain cannot be expressed in words.  She hoped that the efforts being made by Mr Hussain would bring fruit and sectarianism would be eliminated one day. People belonging to all the sects would foil the conspiracy to fuel sectarian tensions by remaining united.
Welcoming the views of Khanum Tayyaba Mr Hussain said that he was speaking for the just and the oppressed people by following the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the People of the House of the prophet (PBUH).
Mr Hussain said that he and the MQM have been striving for eliminating sectarian killings because the killing of one person is the killing of the entire humanity, nevertheless, it was the need of the hour for the religious scholars to come forward and play an active role in foiling the conspiracies for sectarian violence.
Mr Hussain said that the MQM had assembled the religious scholars belonging to different schools of thought in Karachi and had appealed to them to raise their voice against the killings of the Shia people.
Khanum Tayyaba also prayed for the good health and long life of Mr Hussain.
Previously the MQM chief had talked about the Shia identity of Mohammed Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan.

Altaf Hussain has also called upon other politicians in the county to speak on Shia Genocide in Pakistan. He has rightfully pointed out that if people in Pakistan are not given their legitimate rights it could be very problematic for Pakistan.
We at world World Shia Forum urge Altaf Hussain to take this beyond statements and move towards constructive action. Clearly defining a set of measures which can roll back the prevailing violent religious extremism. We are proposing 2 broad suggestions.
1) No one can preach Takfeer of Muslims from the pulpit of the Mosque. Severe penalties should be put in place for such action.
2) Special speedy trial courts should be formed that can give justice to victims of Shia Genocide and other terrorist acts within 30 days.
