Protest outside Saudi Consulate in Los Angeles – by Ali Taj

Just came back from protesting outside Saudi Consulate in Los Angeles. It was a small protest comprising my 8 year old son, by 12 year old niece, my loving wife and my brother. I thank the Almighty for such a loving and supporting family. Just  five of us,  caused so much of commotion at the Saudi Arabian consulate, that they had to call the police to remove us.

The Saudi Consulate is indeed mighty, it is built like castle art decor style and painted green and Silver. It has giant green metal doors that seem very well armored. It has cameras and security systems galore. It gives a clear impression of a fortress.

What was a family of five  doing that caused such a mighty uproar at the mighty Saudi Consulate? We were demanding the release of Shaikh Nimr, the Saudi dissident shot in the leg and taken to jail, release of a frail old man who maybe severely injured. We were not shouting. We were not insulting or abusing anyone. We were simply submitting a polite petition to the King of Saudi Arabia, to respect the universal declaration of human rights and let this man go.

We just wanted to respectfully present this petition to the Saudi consulate, addressed to the King of Saudi Arabia.

The Saudis, however, showed their true colors, they were having none of it. They sent out two security teams telling us to go away.  We explained to them we were on city property exercising our First Amendment right to protest, we were not blocking anyone’s way and we were not causing a nuisance.  Next two LAPD officers showed up, they were very nice and told us of the Form we needed to fill out to protest next time. So that is exactly what we are going to do. The officers gave us their cards and all of us went peacefully on our way. They officers were also kind enough to make sure that the Saudis formally accepted our petition in exchange for (the 5 of us) leaving today.

All of this happened in less than half an hour before our supporters had a chance to even join us. While we were there four people stopped by to give us their emails, they wanted to part of future protests. We also had a Saudi curse at us but that was his problem.

Lastly I want to extend a special thank you my very good friend Faqir-e-Pakistan who was kind enough to film us.

Sunnah of the Ahlebait (a.s) of the Holy Prophet (sawas) from Mubahila to Karbala: stand up for what is right, even if you are apparently alone. He shall be with you.

Speaking your mind in Saudi Arabia ? come on, you must be joking.I wonder how Sheikh Nimr is still alive.Had the Saudi Home minister,Prince Nife been alive, the Sheikh would ‘nt have had his head on his shoulders.Remember what this 80 years old crown Prince did to the Iranian Hajis right in the Haram. They too, were trying to speak their mind against US and Israel at the occasion of Hajj ?Their crime was that as per teaching of Holy Prophet ( SAWAW) they were trying to apprise the Muslim ummah which gathers every year for Hajj ,the cruel sufferings of the Muslims in general and Palestinians in particular in the hands of US and Zionism

An eye opening practical present day example of:
Every Land is KERBALA, Every Day is AASHOORA!
And, ‘Hal min naasirin yansoroona, Hal min yughheesin yughsoona’
May Allah reward you and your family, here and in the hereafter!
And to all who read this, let us join in and DO our own bit to secure the release of all ‘political’ people held in detention without a fair trial anywhere in the world.

Imagine the so called kingdom of saudis scared by The True Muslims with only their placards, No words, No shouting and No arms display. This is the Victory of Imam Hussain a.s. and defeat of the Ale e Yazid. A replica of the 72 against the thousands in Karbala. I wish we can do this in all the yazidis consulates all over the World.

No sense can prevail …………… divide Muslims …… divide the Umah ……. this is the call of the day ………… the irony is that we are all on right path……….. at least this is what all Muslims believe ……. may it be Saudis, iranis, Pakistani Afghani ……. Recent visit to Iraq was an eye opener ………….. shias can not enter Sunni neighbor hood and Sunni folks can not enter in shias areas ……… Bravo …….. every day Muslims are religiously killing other Muslims ………. If you are really Muslim go back to your country and fight intolerance amongst people of your sect …… We in Pakistan find ourselves victims of atrocities being committed by KSA and Iran …… we feel they are fighting war on our lands by killing innocent Muslims ………. Let us all pray that almighty provide patience, tolerance and bless us with love, love for all who believe in Allah and Mohammad (SAW) and love for entire humanity and save us from mullahs, sheikhs, allamas and all those who believe in religion of hate ……….. Ameen
